DESCRIPTION: Duties as a Cook include preparing and serving nutritionally adequate and culturally acceptable food for patients, employees, visitors and special hospital events. REQUIREMENTS: Requires a high school diploma or GED certification. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. At least two years food service experience with at least one year of cooking experience required. Ability to work all shifts (mornings, evenings, nights, holidays and week-ends.) Must have knowledge of basic nutrition with an understanding of therapeutic diets. Good general health with the ability to lift 25 pounds without injury to self or others and stand for long periods of time, adjust quickly to changing situations and be a team player. |
