DESCRIPTION: Registered Nurse who is available to work 12 hour day shifts. Plan and provide nursing care to patients in Obstetrics and Med-Surg settings according to established standards and practices. REQUIREMENTS: Current Alaska RN license. Current BLS required with ACLS certification preferred. ACLS will be required within one year of hire. Possess speaking, listening and basic writing skills required to effectively communicate with others and to document care given. Must keep current with CEU and licensing requirements of Alaska. Numerical ability is required to calculate drug doses. At least 1 year experience in OB/ L&D, with 3 years preferred. One year experience in Med/Surg required. Demonstrated ability to lift up to 50 pounds or 25% of own body weight without self-injury as well as ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time, stoop and sit, ability to organize tasks. Must be available for 12 hour day shifts (7 a.m. - 7 p.m.), with an occasional additional shift to cover for staff vacations, sick calls, etc. |
