Registered Nurse

Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process and within the framework of standards of nursing practice as established by the Alaska State Board of Nursing, and the American Nurses Association. 

Knowledge and Experience Requirements:

1. Education:  Graduate of an accredited/approved School of Nursing.
2. Licensure / Certification:  Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska
3. Experience:  1 year Registered Nurse experience in Med/Surg setting with preferred speciality in L&D, ICU, ER, OR, Geriatric or Home Health.
4.  Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
5. English Language: Must be able to read, write and speak English clearly.
6. Other qualifications: Scheduled varies to meet department needs.  Ability/willingness to be on call, as required.
7. Must be available for 12 hour day or night shifts.
8. Must be able to prioritize multiple task, and work with a variety of health care team members effectively.
9. Demonstrated ability to lift up to 50 pounds or 25% of own body weight without self-injury as well as ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time, stoop and sit.
